Objective
The aim was to increase organic traffic and improve visibility in Google Search. The focus was to reach more local and national users searching for organic groceries online.
Project Summary
Sarker Mart, a growing e-commerce store based in Dhaka, sells traditional and organic grocery items. The main challenge was low organic traffic and limited visibility for product pages in Google Search.
The goal was to drive more qualified visitors and improve ranking for high-intent grocery terms in both English and Bengali.
What I Did
The project involved a complete organic SEO setup and performance improvement plan over 6 months. My work included:
- Keyword research for bilingual search behavior (Bengali + English)
- On-page SEO updates across product and category pages
- Technical SEO improvements, including 404 fixes and 301 redirection
- Content optimization to increase topical relevance and user engagement
- Google Business Profile optimization for better local visibility in Dhaka
Initial Analysis (August 2024)
- Total Clicks: 111
- Total Impressions: 3.67K
- Average CTR: 3%
- Average Position: 7.7
Search data revealed no visibility for high-intent grocery keywords, particularly in the local market.
SEO Strategy
1. Keyword Research
High-intent search terms in both Bengali and English were mapped to relevant product categories. Focus keywords included terms like “Manikganj Hajari Gur,” “মানিকগঞ্জের ঝিটকার হাজারী গুড়,” and “Dori Fish Fillet.”
2. On-Page SEO
Page titles, descriptions, headers, and image alt tags were aligned with the target keywords. Product and category pages were optimized for clarity and user intent.
3. Technical SEO
Page speed was improved, mobile responsiveness was enhanced, and all crawl issues were resolved. Core Web Vitals performance was also improved to support long-term SEO value. 404 errors were fixed, and proper 301 redirects were added.
4. Content Optimization
Product and category descriptions were updated with helpful, buyer-focused language. Additional content was added to improve topical relevance and internal linking.
5. GBP Optimization
The Google Business Profile for Sarker Mart was fully optimized with accurate business info and categories. Location-specific details were included to increase visibility for local searches in Dhaka.
Results After 5 Months (December 2024)
- Total Clicks: 5.74K (+5,072.1%)
- Total Impressions: 157K (+4,178.2%)
- Average CTR: 3.7% (+23.3%)
- Average Position: 6.3 (Improved)
The site gained significant visibility for relevant keywords and experienced a strong increase in local search engagement.

This project highlights how a focused, data-backed SEO strategy can transform visibility for a niche e-commerce brand. With steady improvements in content, structure, and local optimization, Sarker Mart now ranks higher and reaches more grocery buyers across Bangladesh. It sets a strong foundation for future organic growth and customer acquisition.
